Somerset novelist, Justin Newland, will give a talk about the huge legacy of Ancient Egypt to the Milverton and Fitzhead Society from 7.30 - 9 p.m. on Thursday 12th January 2023.
The talk will explore why Egypt is known as The Mother and Father of All Things. He’ll also discuss how it inspired him to write his novel set in Ancient Egypt, The Genes of Isis.
His other novels are: The Old Dragon’s Head, The Coronation and The Abdication.
He writes historical fiction and secret histories in which real events and historical personages are guided and motivated by numinous forces – that’s history with a supernatural twist.
He gives talks, does book signings and appears on local radio and in literary festivals. A Ph.D. in Mathematics, he lives with his partner in plain sight of the Mendip Hills.
